Sinister follows Ethan Hawke, true crimes novelist, as he tries to unwind the mystery behind a family that died of a mass hanging. All together, on the same tree. It’s gruesome. Hawke makes the clever decision to move his family into the murder house so he can crack the case! But when he finds a bunch of home movies filled with gruesome murders (including the hangings) he gets in way over his head. Here’s three clips from the movie. You decide: scary, or not?
