Dennis at Let's Go Digital plundered the web to find 10 unknown Cybershot model numbers over at Sony Style Canada. There isn't much info to go by, but judging by the family names, we can easily speculate on some. But among the familiars, there's the G1, a whole new genus of Cybershot. That's all we know so far about that one, but we can easily speculate on the cameras with more familiar model number prefixes. The likely bottom line is minor upgrades all around, but if you must get the breakdown model by model, read on for our speculative thoughts.
Since the W series has always been a mid sized point and shoot, the W60, W80, W85, and W90 are likely the same. There's no basis for this guess, but I'll risk saying the W60 and W80 are in the 8MP range, while the W85 and W90 are in the 9MP area. Likely, they'll all be very similiar, with differences in LCD screens. W200? That could be an ultra cam in the midsize point and shoot W series.
The T series gets a T100 and T20, likely to update the T50 and the T10.
H7 and H9 are likely followups to the H5, a full sized point and shoot, that could be mistaken for an SLR at glance. (You know, for DSLR lovers who are still in the point and shoot closet.)
More at PMA, but our guesses are the typical bumps in MP, LCD size, upgrades to ISO sensitivity and on higher end models, anti shake functions. Pretty boring!
Except that Mysterious G1. We can't wait to find out more.
