It’s making its way around the hallowed halls of the Internet that Sony is planning to release a redesigned version of their iPod Shuffle-like Network Walkman E-Series. Precious little is known thus far aside from storage capacities, 512MB, 1GB and 2GB. The players, which will be available in green, red, blue, purple and black (what, no white?) lack the FM tuner that can be found on current models. The single-line OLED display that has become a hallmark of the Network Walkman makes a return as well. The price is rumored to be around $180 with a 28-hour battery life.
