Speak Out

Chris Cardinal

Reading time 1 minute

Eerily paralleling devices in Isaac Asimov’s The Naked Sun, ‘Speak Out’ by Tristam Sparks and Adnreea Chelaru is an always-on audio channel that basically pipes whatever sounds are audible from in your room (traffic, pleasure squeeks, the spatter of blood) into the room of your no-longer-innocent friend.

A panel of microphones and speakers creates an ambient soundscape which offers an impression of what is happening in your friend’s room.

It’s a lot better if you pretend you’ve never heard of speakerphones before.
