One of the greatest things about Halloween is the ridiculously large amount of music that provides the soundtrack for the holiday. From novelty songs, to television and movie themes, to just songs inspired by the season, here's a playlist of the 50 best.
Just so everyone knows: this playlist could have easily been twice as long as it is. But 50 songs and over three hours of music seemed like the place to stop. Generally, we tried to narrow the playlist down by only letting each artist have one song on it, although Danny Elfman and Beetlejuice are the exceptions. Beetlejuice has both its theme and "Day-O," while Danny Elfman's on it for The Nightmare Before Christmas classic "This Is Halloween" and as a member of Oingo Boingo. It seemed kind of impossible to leave those off.
