Say good-bye to smelly socks and stenchy shirts. A team of researchers from the University of Georgia have developed a spray-on solution that rids your clothes of bacteria, including those that make you stink.
The solution will remove bacteria from a variety of materials including clothes, carpets, shoes and plastics. It’s like lysol but lasts a long time and doesn’t wash off in the laundry.
Though it would be great to use around your house, this technology will likely land in the hospital or doctor’s office. How easy it would be for physicians to spray down their scrubs in the morning and be bacteria-free for the day. It also gives them some fashion freedom to disinfect any outfit they want. [BBC]
