If history is our guide the Sprint version of Samsung’s Galaxy S smartphone, the Epic 4G, could arrive on or around August 20.

We know this because the phone has appeared on the Samsung TV site schedule with that date.
In the past, you see, Samsung did the same thing with AT&T’s version (the Captivate), and T-Mobile’s Vibrant, so some educated guessing allows us to speculate that you will probably be able to get your hands on this phone on or around August 20 should you so desire.
To review, the Sprint Epic 4G has a few additional quirks that make it a kind of “pro” version in the Galaxy S line, including a physical keyboard and 4G connection. [Samsung via Engadget]
