The Samsung Epic 4G joins the HTC EVO as Sprint’s 4G handsets, but diverges with the fact that it has a slide-out keyboard. It looks like the Galaxy S Pro, which we’ve been seeings leaks of for a few weeks.

The quick specs: 1GHz Samsung Cortex A8 processor, 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive display, Android 2.1 (not surprising that it doesn’t have 2.2 yet), 3G/4G hotspot, 5-megapixel camera with auto focus, LED flash, 720p video recording, front-facing camera for video chat, Samsung’s AllShare and Social Hub features, 3.5mm headset, the normal Sprint apps, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, compass, six-axis motion sensor and an included 16GB microSD card.

It looks quite comparable to the EVO from the specs, only it has a smaller screen and it’s by Samsung, who has a spotty history of updating its Android phones as fast as the competition. But, if you want a 4G Android slider, this is it.
