This is much cooler than the one we built for ourselves when we were kids out of a pack of chewing gum, a rotary phone, our dad’s tie, and an Atari 2600. The Star Trek 40th Anniversary Phaser looks quite similar to the original prop Shatner and Nimoy were pointing at each other—inbetween rounds of making out, if the fanfics are to be believed—but only costs $27.95.
Careful, as warranty doesn’t cover using this thing while wearing a magenta shirt.
