As well as the pride of knowing that you’re on first-name terms with Gene Roddenberry’s most famous creation, the page also offers IM buddy icons and desktops of the groovy retro movie posters, as well as the chance to discover just how many other people are pretending to be fictional characters online. Amongst those already friends with Trek are the chief security officer of the USS Excelsior, someone pretending to be Star Trek: The Next Generation and Lightning McQueen from Cars.
