Next year marks half a century since Star Trek debuted on NBC. I imagine we’re in for a good deal of celebration and anniversary events, but the “Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage” concert will likely be one of the biggest — a 100-stop tour of live music from the TV series and movies, performed by a full orchestra.

From Hero Complex:

Presented by CineConcerts, CBS Consumer Products and Paramount Pictures, the concerts will touch on major themes from composers Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner and Leonard Rosenman, with a symphony orchestra performing live as footage from various “Star Trek” movies and TV shows is projected onto a 40-foot screen.

A pre-tour performance is set to take place at Royal Albert Hall in London on Nov. 1, 2015.

The concerts will include music from the films “Star Trek: The Motion Picture,” “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan,” “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home” and “Star Trek: Insurrection,” alongside selections from the soundtracks to “Star Trek: The Original Series,” “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” and “Star Trek: Voyager.” [Update: Music from Starfleet Academy will not be included]

Sounds great. However, if the organizers still have some room left to put some additional music on the list, I’d like to make a humble suggestion:
