Like many things that make you feel uncomfortable and ashamed in Las Vegas, Star Trek: The Experience will not just go quietly into the good night. After closing down in the Las Vegas Hilton last month Wired is reporting that Ted Newkirk (real name), owner of the Neonopolis (a shopping and entertainment venue) is interested in saving The Experience. Negotiations are ongoing, but I can assume that owning the majority of those goods right before the Abrams’ Trek releases can’t be a bad thing. Either way now you’ll still have a chance to take a picture on the infamous bridge. [Underwire]
