If, like us, you’ve been buried under a mountain of news about the new Star Wars toys, then you’ve probably been introduced to BB-9E, a sinister First Order BB-Unit who will appear in The Last Jedi. Everyone’s already calling him the evil twin of BB-8, but it turns out little 9E had a different—and infinitely more delightful—name on set.
Rian Johnson revealed the tidbit on Twitter today as the deluge of new Star Wars merchandise featuring the black-and-silver droid hit the web:

BB-Hate! Johnson’s right, that is obscenely adorable. Plus, it rolls off the tongue a bit better than “9E” does.
Sorry, BB-9E, we’re just gonna call you BB-H8 now. Please don’t be too evil and get mad at us.
