Think Steve Jobs has just been a CEO in his tenure at Apple? Wrooo-ooong. The man's had his hands filthy as an inventor, with over 300 patents. Computers? Duh. Packaging? Yep. Lanyards. Yup.

I was going to blast you guys, like so many already have, for your constant misunderstanding of the patent process, but this time it looks like the New York Times, of all publications, already dropped the ball for you.

"The 313 Apple patents that list Steven P. Jobs among the group of inventors offer a glimpse at his legendary say over the minute details of the company’s products."

Really, NYT? You couldn't talk to a patent lawyer before you gave ol' Jobsy a reach around?

Still, though, you guys at Giz could probably benefit from having a patent attorney as a part-time consultant.
