Rumor has it, Apple CEO and WWDC disappointment Steve Jobs can’t contain his excitement about the “upcoming” iPhone to his inner circles. Who that means exactly, we couldn’t say. But a few informants and insiders indicate that there have been cellphone prototypes, OEM talks, and dealings with Apple’s current partners.
One of the informants say that the iPhone will show up sooner than expected—even though we expected it this week—and catch everyone surprise with a big announcement. Maybe it’ll be in October, the same month that Apple launched its 5G iPod last year.
