The CW has announced that Steve McQueen will appear in its new Twilight-esque drama The Vampire Diaries. Admittedly, it’s not the Steve McQueen, but the next best thing: his grandson.
McQueen – who goes by the name Steven R. McQueen to try and disguise his famous heritage somewhat unsuccessfully – will play Jeremy, the “cute younger brother” of lead character Elena, the high school girl who is torn between her love for two Vampire brothers in the series of young adult novels, it was announced yesterday.
Diaries is being produced and showrun by Scream creator Kevin Williamson for a possible series this fall.
