SuperBus Answers to Your Texts

Sure, it looks like some sort of stretch SUV limo, but the SuperBus is actually a Dutch invention. Researchers at Delft University Technology in the Netherlands have created this aerodynamic bus that can go as fast as 155 mph while running on electricity.

The SuperBus will have roughly 30 seats with individual entrance/exit doors (no more shuffling around fat people to get in and out) and rather than make predetermined stops, it'll pick and drop people off based on their text message requests.

The brainiacs at Delft hope to have a prototype of the bus in two years, just in time for the Beijing Olympics. Watch a quickie promo video here.

whitesnake lol.

don't know about 100' long, but in the states this thing would be amazing. some cities have decent public transportation, but here in columbia, missouri we're pretty much stuck with 3-4 busses that traverse from campus to parking lot and around campus and downtown and thats it. If we could get electric powered busses, and instead of 100' ones maybe half that so that we can instead of having one have a couple (and handle bumpy roads), that would be awesome. would be eco friendly yet instant public transportation w/o need to build monorails etc. i think its a great idea.

lol whitesnake....
