Aldous Huxley’s landmark scifi novel Brave New World is headed to the small screen but with an interesting set of partners, Syfy and Amblin Television. Alright... we’re listening.
Syfy dropped a huge press released that announced their partnership with Amblin Television to develop a scripted series based on the book everyone should have read in High School or Jr. High. The novel is set in a future city that’s bright, shiny, and free of natural birth. The classes are separated into castes Alpha and Beta are the upper levels and Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon are the lower classes. The folks that live outside of this ideal society are referred to as “savages.”
According to the press releases “Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey of Amblin Television (The Americans, Falling Skies, Under the Dome) will be executive producers. Les Bohem (Steven Spielberg Presents:Taken) will write the screenplay and also executive produce.”
And that’s all we know for now, it’s a tall order. But if they can pull it off it could really work. Fingers crossed everyone.
