T-Mobile has followed in the footsteps of Verizon and asked the court if it could file an amicus curiae (“friend of the court”) briefing supporting Samsung.

T-Mobile argues that an injunction against Samsung would hurt US consumers and harm T-Mobile. The wireless carrier points to the upcoming 2011 holiday shopping season, which would be ruined if Samsung products were pulled from retail shelves.
If this argument sounds familiar, it should. It’s almost the same one Verizon used when it stated its opposition to Apple’s request for an injunction. [PC World]
