Daniel Dae Kim gets ready for action in Hellboy. Supergirl casts the mom of its big new villain. Riverdale is introducing more family drama for Betty. Matt Nix teases why the X-Men are gone in The Gifted. Plus, new pictures from the return of X-Files, and hope for even more Stranger Things. Behold, Spoilers!
Han Solo
Thandie Newton recently returned to the set for reshoots, according to Ron Howard on Twitter. But, interestingly, she appears to be in costume in the photo—with Howard’s right hand attempting to cover up the fact that the badge on Newton’s jacket actually appears to be the seal of the Empire.
It’s possible the outfit could be from a disguise sequence in the movie—Newton’s scarf doesn’t exactly scream Imperial-sanctioned neckwear—but there’s a chance Newton’s character is a villain in the movie.
Hellboy
Daniel Dae Kim shared a video of himself enthusiastically practicing some of the film’s fight choreography, even making “blam” noises when firing his prop gun.
Frozen 2
Voice recording has begun on Frozen 2, which Josh Gad promises is “worth the wait.”
Supergirl
Betty Buckley will recur in season three as Patricia Arias, the mother of incoming main villain of the season, Reign.
Riverdale
The series is currently casting the role of Chic Cooper, Betty’s long lost brother that she learned of in the season finale. Sidenote: Chic Cooper is a fantastic name. [TV Line]
In the meantime, feast your eyes on a new photo of Fangs Fogarty, Sweet Pea, and Tonito Paz of the the South Side Serpents—the meanest gang in Riverdale.
The Gifted
In an interview with CBR, Matt Nix stated both the X-Men and The Brotherhood have disappeared following a “cataclysmic event” causing “enormous social upheaval” and “a lot of hatred towards mutants.”
The X-Men are gone. The Brotherhood is gone. Most of the powerful classic mutants are not around. People don’t know where they’ve gone. They are shrouded in mystery. It comes out gradually over the course of the series that there’s been a cataclysmic event, a bit of a 9/11 event, that caused enormous social upheaval and a lot of hatred towards mutants. It’s somehow related to the disappearance of the X-Men and the Brotherhood.

Once Upon a Time
Episode six of the new season is titled, “One Little Tear,” according to Adam Horowitz on Twitter.
Stranger Things
Following recent comments from the Duffer Brothers that the show would wrap after four seasons, producer Shawn Levy stepped in to state there’s still a “possibility” for a fifth.
Hearts were heard breaking in Netflix headquarters when the Brothers made four seasons sound like an official end, and I was suddenly getting phone calls from our actors’ agents. The truth is we’re definitely going four seasons and there’s very much the possibility of a fifth. Beyond that, it becomes I think very unlikely.
The show’s Twitter also shared a new poster in time for Halloween.
The X-Files
Finally, Entertainment Weekly has two new photos from the eleventh season of The X-Files — including a comatose Scully, and a grey meeting with the Smoking Man some time during the 50's/60's.
