In first-time feature director Eytan Rockaway’s spooky thriller, a mentally fragile woman ventures down a career path that’s probably not what the doctor ordered. She’s a security guard at a decaying apartment building that may or may not be haunted, but it is definitely rippling with bad juju.

That description downplays the Jason Patric character, but from the trailer, it looks like he’s quite a crucial part of this creepy set-up.
The Abandoned opens in theaters and hits VOD on January 8.
