The Agents Of SHIELD Survive For A Second Season

Good news for people who have stuck with Agents of SHIELD and watch it slowly turn into a fun, reasonably action-packed show with a compelling story and high stakes: ABC has renewed the show for next year, and approved a 13-episode Agent Carter series along with it.

I've gone from kind of forcing myself to watch Agents of SHIELD to now being genuinely excited about each new episode, so I'm very glad it's coming back — I think the showrunners have found their groove, and it'll be interesting to see what the show is like when it's firing on all cylinders from the get-do. (Plus, I have my doubts Ward's storyline will be resolved by the season one finale, so that will be fun.)

As for Agent Carter, forget about it. More Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter? Yes please. I only wonder if both Agents series will air together, or if Agent Carter will take over SHIELD's spot once season two is over or something. If ABC is planning a two-hour Agents block, then they clearly have faith in both shows... and that's pretty exciting as well.
