A lot of numbers get tossed around about just how big Apple's App Store is. But what's really interesting is how quickly it's grown—shown here in all its charted glory. And my goodness, the games.

This infographic from Meet the Boss (click image embiggen) is actually a few different charts in one, each with its own notable nuggets. Quick highlights: games rule, submissions are down, and dollar apps seem to be the sweet spot.

What's interesting isn't so much that these things are true—you probably could have guessed as much—but the degree to which they are. The scale is staggering, especially considering that just over two years ago, there was no App Store at all. [Meet the Boss]
