This week the world lost a creative genius, with the passing of H. R. Giger. However, his legacy lives on in his artwork, the Alien franchise (which has some fantastic graphic novel adaptations), and through Lego. Here are a few of the best Giger-inspired Lego aliens.

First up we have this charming Facehugger, made by Carlos Valero. It's a life-size, fully-functional, 1:1 scale model that uses 500 bricks.

This epic Chestburster, which just looks gorgeous.

This insanely-cool Xenomorph by AL X Skockani.

These incredibly-sexy Lego Xenomorphs by Arvo.

This adorable video by a sweet little British girl whose teaching us how to build a mini Lego Xenomorph.

And as an added bonus, here's an epic Lego reconstruction of Giger artwork:

And as an added extra bonus, Brothers Brick recently showcased Missing Brick's inspired recreations of the film Aliens' most memorable moments "using customized minifigs, huge sets, creative lighting, and vehicle designs adapted from the work of fellow builders."

If I missed any, please feel free to leave them in the comments! :)

And remember, in space, no one can hear you scream if you step on a Lego brick.
