The Crow Remake Continues Coming Back To Life To Wreak Its Vengeance

Much like its title character, the long-in-development remake of The Crow never stays dead for long. Now we can add Boardwalk Empire’s Jack Huston to the lengthy list of actors who have been attached to the role of the new Eric Draven. Good choice! Too bad it’ll still probably never get made.

I mean, historically, The Crow remake has a proud tradition of not being made since it was first announced in 2008. At the moment, The Hallow’s Corin Hardy is set to helm it, making him the fifth(!) director for the project.

If you’ve seen Huston as the physically and emotionally scarred killer Ricard Harrow in Boardwalk Empire, you know he’s a damn fine actor — and given that he’s about to become a lead star in the much bigger-budgeted, actually being made remake of Ben-Hur, I feel like The Crow remake is probably a bit beneath him. At any rate, I hope being mired in this craziness doesn’t take up too much of his time, whether it actually happens or not. (Hint: It won’t.)
