Women, naked except for weird mask/hood thingies, watch as a flying saucer arrives. A gang of dominatrices confronts a man in a helmet and a jumpsuit that reads "UNO." It can only be the psychedelic art of Guy Peellaert. (NSFW!)
Peellaert, who died last fall, did the cover for Bowie's Diamond Dogs album and a famous poster for Scorsese's Taxi Driver. But his greatest work may have been the weird, lush comic book art he did for the 1966 movie Jeu De Massacre, in which a husband-and-wife team of comic-book artists falls in with a dangerous fantasist. I would love to know more about the backstory of some of these scenes, especially the Yellow Submarine-esque dominatrix/authority figure confrontation. Not to mention the weird James Bond-ian scenes of the guy running around.
There's loads more crazy Jeu De Massacre images at the link. [The World Of Kane]
