The Electric Horseman is a minor 1979 Robert Redford movie directed by Syndey Pollack. It’s not the best movie in the world, but it did feature Redford in a light-up cowboy outfit.
Yep, on his quest to release his injured horse into a remote western canyon, he dons a suit covered in lightbulbs while in Vegas. It’s only natural. And in my opinion, it’s what caused Jane Fonda’s character to fall in love with him.
It’s 30 years later and the fashion still hasn’t caught on. It’s a shame, really. When will we wake up and realize that we have so much potential if only we’d allow ourselves to realize it with tacky, light-up clothing?
