The kids who kickstarted a Battlestar Galactica Viper simulator project back in March actually managed to get it up and flying at Maker Faire 2012! It rotates in every direction, as anticipated. It is quite an amazing achievement.

The simulator has three front screens, control joystick, thrusters, and a fully working cockpit simulating the one in the real Battlestar Galactica Vipers. Too bad they didn’t have time to customize the 3D flying software to actually make this beauty swing among the stars.
