Lightbulbs are becoming increasingly obsolete in favor of smaller, more efficient LEDs. So what do you do with the classic Angelpoise lamp design—one whose design catered to the bulb—in 2012? You turn it upside down, of course.

German design student Louis Rensch chose to flip the lamp in such a manner to highlight the ways in which LEDs are not lightbulbs—namely, they can conform to different shapes and forms in ways lightbulbs cannot.
