Most television shows come to the San Diego Comic-Con to hype upcoming seasons, but in the case of the nixed Fox pilot for Locke and Key, it's coming to bandy about its mere existence.

Indeed, the television adaptation of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez's horror comic series is hosting a SDCC panel featuring the comics' creators, the show's writer/executive producer Josh Friedman, and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. The production team had an outside hope that another channel might pick up the pilot — that didn't happen, so they're mounting a last-ditch attempt to tap some of that ever-fickle Comic-Con mojo.

Sure, the show's sets are scheduled to be dismantled by the end of this month, but if people enjoy the show, maybe the powers that be will change their minds. The Locke and Key panel will be held July 22 at 10:30 AM.
