The economy is in shambles, the ice caps are melting, and people are putting explosives in their skivvies. Should 2010 bring Mad Max to life, we can only hope that photographer Chen Zhun is in charge of styling.

The photographer recently published an amazing spread for FHM, the Chinese version, as the US version would never be this bold. The fashion shoot, which feature sexy Chinese models wearing sci-fi inspired duds Jean Paul Gaultier would be envious of, remind us of what we hoped Aeon Flux, the live-action movie, was going to feel like. It’s amazing how much emotion the animated series had, yet the movie failed to bring that feeling out. These pictures do just that.

It’s raw emotion with flesh-toned thigh highs.

You can check out the full photo essay, which gets a little weird in some parts here. This isn’t the first time FHM China has had a girls behaving bad-ass series. In 2008 they published another spread, this time involving tattoos, fencing, and a black bikini orgy.
