Okay, perhaps “great” isn’t the best adjective for a character who tried to commit suicide by shooting himself in the face with a shotgun, but failed. Perhaps “comics-accurate” is better. Either way, seeing the first characters of the long-awaited TV adaptation of Preacher look is exciting, and makes us optimistic.
The Old Lamy Mission Movie Set shared these two pics of Joseph Gilgun as the hard-drinking Irish vampire Cassidy and Ian Colleti as the young Arseface on the Preacher set, respectively:
Obviously Arseface isn’t quite as horrific-looking as his comic counterpart, and I have to admit I am 100% okay with that.
Anyways, the Facebook page that posted these pics also has a lot of photos of a church that will almost certainly be where the titular preacher Jesse Custer (played by Dominic Cooper) does his preaching when the story begins. Go check ‘em out if you want.
