Visiting the International Space Station, astronauts float with nothing but a thin sliver of atmosphere between them and our world. The space shuttle Endeavor’s last mission to the ISS installed a new “cupola” which’ll yield even more loveliness to come.

Here are some of our favorite NASA images from the Endeavor’s mission, including our first look through the cupola, which resembles a firing turret from Star Wars but will also give the ISS astronauts the kind of view of Earth they usually only get during an EVA.
