Mason Currey’s Daily Rituals: How Artists Work is full of revealing insights on the creative habits of some of history’s greatest writers, scientists, musicians and philosophers. Here, bedtimes collected by Currey in the course of his research are compiled into a single, circular chart. Notice anything interesting?

As FastCo notes, “The infographic seems to debunk the myth that geniuses stay up through the wee hours working manically, and that you’re more creative when you’re tired—most of these 27 luminaries got a wholesome eight hours a night.”

I guess you can add “pursuit of genius” to your ever-growing list of reasons to go back to bed.
