It might take a moment for the importance of this gadget to sink in, but Keyspan is introducing a USB server that lets you connect USB devices to a PC or Mac over a wired or wireless network. What this does is let you take any USB device like a hard drive, a scanner, a printer and share it with all the computers on a local area network.
