While a feature adaptation of Jeff Smith’s wonderful, enduring graphic odyssey is in the works, it’ll be an entirely computer-generated affair — and it won’t have half the hand-hewn charm of this fan-created short.
Taking the audio from TellTale’s Bone videogame, animator Andrew Kaiko created this Flash-animated short — based on Smith’s story of three brothers on a magical, hysterical quest — for no other reason than he thought it’d be cool. And, damn, he was right.
