This 500k piece diorama of the CU-Boulder campus is amazing

I love big community builds. It’s awesome to see what builders can come up with when they pool Lego bricks together and work as a team to create a large scale model. Hit the Bricks, a collaborative build by COWLUG (Colorado/Wyoming Lego User Group), is on display as a permanent exhibit.

You can see it Monday through Saturday 10 am to 4 pm at the CU Heritage Center or view the completely gallery of images here.

The mosaic background is a wonderful touch. You don’t see this very often but it works really well here.

There is also a wonderful timelapse of the assembly done by the Fiske Planetarium Production department.
