Jake, the alien cat in The Cat From Outer Space, doesn’t just help gambling addicts to cheat at horse races, football games and pool games, in his quest to return to his home galaxy. He also flies an antique plane, chasing a helicopter. And this cat-aviator sequence will make all your troubles disappear.
The Cat From Outer Space is refreshingly un-slick. It’s kind of amazing how little effort they make, in some scenes, to try and get the telepathic cat to appear to be actually paying attention while it’s talking. (It’s probably pretty impossible to get a real live cat to perform on cue, in any case.) The cherry on top is Colonel Potter from M*A*S*H showing up to interrogate everybody about that dang flying cat.
