To promote an upcoming charity bike ride for the local Heart and Stroke Foundation, Toronto-based ad agency Agency59 turned a wheelchair into a fully functional bicycle. It took the brains (and fabrication know-how) of an expert designer, but the finished product is completely rideable, as its creator demonstrates in this video.
The creation might not be the best choice for tackling the Tour de France, but as a way to advertise this event, it would certainly be hard to miss while it was locked up in various locations around the city before the ride. And, if you happen to break your leg while riding it, presumably the bike can be conveniently converted back into a wheelchair as needed. [Vimeo via Taxi via AOTW]
