It looks a little far out, but the Tropism Well is welcome in my neighborhood park. Designed by Poietic Studio, it senses the approach of an individual and bows to grant them the gift of hydration.
It’s probably the friendliest, most elegant tentacle you’ll ever see. The only thing is you’ll probably want to bring a cup or water bottle with you. Poietic Studio hopes to use these at festivals and events in the near future, and even perhaps replace the traditional water fountains we grew up with. [Vimeo via Colossal]
