Firefly might be long gone from TV, but there isn’t a power in the ‘verse that will stop fans from cooking up tempting what-might-have-beens. Case in point, this delightful teaser for the Firefly animated show that some parallel universe is probably really enjoying round about now.
The trailer, which you can see in its entirety below, comes courtesy of artist Stephen Byrne, who’s been teasing us with snippets of his Firefly animated project for a few years now—with everything from delightful art to heartbreaking gifs.

It’s rather magnificent, and everyone gets to make an appearance, even dearly departed stalwarts like Wash and Shepherd Book. But still a bittersweet reminder for the Firefly fans out there still hoping for the show to return in some manner.
