I always thought the 1984 fantasy movie The NeverEnding Story was strange enough, but it turns out superimposing a bearded adult’s face over little Bastian makes the whole film much weirder. But as it turns out, the face-swap is only the start of this completely bonkers “improved” version of the movie.
I won’t spoil the rest of the surprises, but the face and beard comes from David Unger, who created it as a music video for his song “On & On.” I dig the music; also, as weird as this video is, I still find it less disturbing that the actual movie.
