A few interesting things that we can learn from the document:
- Both Apple and HTC are getting a nonexclusive, nontransferrable and non-sublicensable license to some of each other's patents.
- Apple has agreed not to sue HTC over certain covered products (details over which are, however, redacted).
- Apple's design patents seem to have been excluded from the document.
- There's a long and messy section about what happens if Apple deems that HTC has "cloned" one of its products in the future. (In summary: bad things.)
This document was entered into the public record by Samsung, who initially asked about the finer details of the HTC-Apple agreement.
