David E. Kelley has cast the lead role in his hip, updated remake of Wonder Woman: Adrianne Palicki, who played Sam’s doomed girlfriend Jessica on Supernatural. (She also appeared on Smallville and had a role in the abortive Aquaman pilot for The CW.) But Palicki is best known for playing Tyra on Friday Night Lights — and the fact that she’s an athlete who ran track in high school is being seen as a good sign for an action-packed Wonder Woman.
