Filmmaker Dustin Cohen visits the Brooklyn studio of watchmaker and ex-photographer David Sokosh, who now builds and maintains the intricate timepieces. The video’s look at the meticulous craft makes a strong case for still keeping a mechanical wristwatch strapped to your arm.

The short film is actually the second in Cohen’s Made in Brooklyn series which focuses on craftspersons living and working in the New York borough. Next up? Bagels! Hopefully. Okay, probably not. [Made in Brooklyn]
