Perfect for scooping things out of rectangular containers with flat walls, but not so great with anything round, the real claim-to-fame of David Adler’s Kafolda spoon is that it arrives as a perfectly flat piece of stainless steel and some assembly required.
But don’t worry, you don’t need an anvil and a hammer to pound it into a curved scoop or anything. A series of laser cut grooves allow the $12 Kafolda to be simply folded into a working utensil with a little basic origami. It’s claimed that when “assembled,” nothing will spill out of the spoon’s seams, which is great. But given the sharp angles, you probably don’t want to use this particular utensil for eating your cereal in the morning. [Gordon Adler via Fancy]
