We’ve been waiting far, far too long for a new book from Mike Carey, author of the Felix Castor books and also writer of such great comics as The Unwritten, Lucifer and My Faith in Frankie. So rejoice in the book trailer for his new book, The Girl With All the Gifts.
The Girl With All the Gifts is actually credited to M.R. Carey, but the name change hasn’t dented Carey’s brilliance at all. I’ve read most of it already, but I made myself stop because the book doesn’t come out until June 2014 in the U.S., and I wanted to have it fresh in my mind when I review it then. Suffice to say, though, that it was hard to quit reading such a compelling, intense book.
