Human (8 PM, Fox):
The midseason finale! Although weirdly, this was actually
one of the first few episodes of the show to be produced — Fox is airing the
episodes out of order. So don’t be surprised if suddenly Kennex and Dorian are
way less used to each other’s company. Here’s what’s going on:
Detective John Kennex and Dorian respond to a suspicious
death at a hospital where – before having a fatal cardiac arrest – a man
claimed someone was trying to kill him, and inexplicably knew his exact time of
death. As the investigation unfolds, a black market for vital organs is
uncovered in which bio-mechanical hearts can be resold and remotely “shut
off.” As the team fights to find the pulse of this 2048 tech-centric
crime, Dorian reconnects with a decommissioned DRN.
Rick and Morty
(10:30 PM, Adult Swim):
Guest starring John Oliver and Dana Carvey! “Anatomy Park” sees Rick and Morty trying to

Chicken Christmas Special (Midnight, Adult Swim):
It’s been ages since we’ve had any action-figurey comedy

How Sherlock Changed the World (9 PM, PBS):
Worth mentioning because it’s a slow week, and also
this is about forensic science. This two-hour special looks at ” the
impact of the fictional Holmes on real criminal investigation and forensic
techniques.”

Person of Interest (10 PM, CBS):
The midseason finale — in which Fusco belts Reese right in the kisser. Why did CBS make us wait so long between episodes, and why is
this airing on its own in the middle of December? Only the Machine knows — but
this is probably going to be one hell of a blowout. Guest-starring Camryn Manheim
and Warehouse 13’s Saul Rubinek as a
married couple! Here’s the skinny:
“Lethe” – Flashbacks to Finch’s adolescence
provide insight into his creation of The Machine. Also, the team receives the
number of an already dying man, and Reese leaves the POI team behind in the
aftermath of the war with the crime organization, HR.
Oh, and before anyone complains, the thing about Reese leaving the team isn’t really a spoiler — it’s in the episode promos, and the official synopsis.
Futurescape (10
PM, Science):
This time, James Woods is exploring “How to be a
Superhuman.”

Black Mirror at 9 PM. Also at 9, Discovery has a new Doomsday
Preppers. At 10 PM, Spike has a new episode of Criss Angel: BeLIEve.
Wednesday:
Nazi
Hunters (10
PM, Military):
There’s a whole show called Nazi Hunters.
Who knew? Worth mentioning because this time it’s all about hunting down Nazi
Rocket Scientists. So we can give them a job.
These
stories of pursuit and the struggle to balance the scales of justice are full
of drama and tragedy. Brilliant German scientists worked for the Nazi regime in
the 1930s and 1940s, creating the V2 ballistic missile. When the war ended, the
US
was desperate to get its hands on these scientists before the Russians did.
They wanted their expertise as the need for military superiority overrode any
concerns of bringing these criminals to justice. Their wartime work hid a dark
secret. Hundreds of slave labourers died building the V2. There was a chase
across Germany
in 1945 to get them before the Russians did. But these rocket scientists had
blood on their hands.
Thursday:
Myth
Hunters (10 PM, Military):
Basically, it’s like Mythbusters, except with more Hitler. First time out: “Hitler
and the Spear of Destiny.” Hopefully they’ll explain that Spectre storyline where Superman
touched the Spear of Destiny and turned evil.

Returned at 9 PM. Also at 9 PM, there’s a new Mysteries at the Museum on Travel. At 10 PM, there’s the season finale of Unsealed: Alien Files on Discover America.
Friday:
Nikita (9 PM, The
CW):
Remember how Birkhoff had a secret that could jeopardize the
whole mission, last week? Well, this time it’s Ryan’s turn.
NIKITA’S WORLD UNRAVELS ── Just as Nikita (Maggie Q) is
finally starting to see an end to the long war with The Shop, Ryan (Noah Bean)
confesses a secret that could unravel it all.
Meanwhile, Michael (Shane West) tries to get Nikita to accept their new
circumstances as he contemplates what comes next for the two of them. Realizing Sam (Devon Sawa) was planning to
steal her diamonds, Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) gives him a suitcase of fake diamonds
to deliver to her contact in France. Alex is surprised when he upholds his end of
the bargain and doesn’t take off with the jewels. However, things get messy when Sam is jumped
by the loan shark he owes money to, and Alex must step in to save him.

Atlantis (9 PM, BBC America):
More intrigue with the Atlantean royal family — which means
more Alexander Siddig scowling, so we’re down. Here’s what’s up: “A
clandestine messenger brings unexpected news to princess Ariadne – her exiled
brother Therus has sent for her. Ariadne must decide where her loyalties lie –
in Atlantis or with her royal sibling. But Therus is determined to share the
truth behind his exile with his sister, exposing a plot that could overshadow

Sunday:
As we get closer to Christmas, there’s basically
nothing on television, whatsoever. A total dead zone. You’ll notice there
aren’t even any weird Christmas TV movies about an uptight businesswoman
falling in love with Santa this week, because it’s too Christmassy even for
Christmas TV movies.
Also on TV today: Nicktoons has a new Digimon Fusion at 11:30 AM, followed by
a new Yu-Gi-Oh!. At 10 PM, Animal
Planet has a new Finding Bigfoot, Weather
has a new Freaks of Nature, and DA
