Chris Chibnall – head writer and producer for Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood – has been signed up for a 13-episode order of a brand new addition to NBC’s Law & Order franchise, Law & Order: London. Chibnall’s new role as showrunner for the series puts into question his future on BBC’s Welsh-set sex-and-spooksathon, just days before the launch of the show’s second season.
