Trailer For The Original Alien Reimagined As A Steampunk CG Film

Second-year students at the Animation Workshop in Denmark were tasked with creating 30-second CG trailers inspired by classic movies. The group that was assigned Alien decided not to do a straight tribute, but instead mixed a bit of Jules Verne in with their scifi horror.

Other student groups also played with their movie assignments. For example, Grease got mashed up with Tron:
